What is gumroad and why do I get emails from them?
Gumroad.com is a platform where creators can sell their work. This platform makes it easy for me as a software developer to sell my work to serious Sierra Chart users like yourself. Gumroad takes care of the checkout form, handles the payment processing as well as VAT tax collection, issues license keys and integrates with my SST backend.

When you get one of my products that are listed on my gumroad profile page, you will receive a confirmation email with the license key and a button that brings you to the content. The content in most cases is the free spreadsheet trading journal and a pdf with access instructions.
The email is send from gumroad.com, but the sender should read like this:
This receipt email contains instructions to activate the license key. There is also a button to generate an invoice for the purchase you made.
You can safely reply to this email as it will be directly send to me.
Is my payment information safe?
In one word. Yes.
Your payment details never get stored anywhere when you buy on Gumroad. We don't have access to your credit card information - we just have a token that represents your credit card. The same goes for your PayPal details. That means if your Gumroad account, or even Gumroad itself, were compromised, nobody would gain access to your payment data.
As I said earlier I use gumroad.com as the platform that handles payments. Gumroad is used for payment processing and are a PCI compliant provider. You can read more about this here.
What is VAT? The price is different now.
All prices of SST products are excluding any applicable taxes. VAT is Value Added Tax. It's a sales tax for the EU. European Union Tax laws requires VAT be applied to products sold to customers that live in the EU. Gumroad handles VAT collection and remittance to the EU. The applied % of VAT differs between countries (20% is used in The Netherlands). Depending on the EU country you live in, the price of the SST product will have VAT applied.
I have a VAT ID. Do I have to pay VAT?
If you have a VAT ID, you simply enter it into the invoice, which you can generate through the Gumroad receipt. The invoice received will reflect the VAT refund, the refund will hit your credit card account or PayPal account in a matter of days. Gumroad takes care of that.
How can I get an invoice?
Every email receipt has a button that says, Generate Invoice that, when clicked, allows customers to create an invoice. The VAT paid on the purchase is explicitly detailed on this invoice. As an SST customer you are technically buying from gumroad, that's why gumroad provides the invoice for your purchase.
Do you offer refunds?
In rare occasions I offer a refund. In most cases the no refund policy applies as for most of my work there is a free trial option which gives you ample time to test the study and know exactly what you get. There is no difference between a trail or a paid license.
How can I cancel my subscription?
There are a few options to cancel your subscription.
The easiest is through your SST profile page. Click on the License Activation tab. On the list of license activations, there is a manage subscription button which will bring you to a gumroad page that allows you to change payment details, cancel or restart a subscription.
You can also click the manage membership button in the receipt email and proceed from there.
If you have some issues cancelling the subscription you can also reply to the receipt email and I will have a look for you.

I forgot to cancel my subscription. Can I get a refund?
You are responsible for your own affairs. Cancelling can be done anytime, you will maintain access for the full paid access time. No refunds for forgetting.
How can I pay for a custom project?
There are several options to pay me for custom work. This will be part of the email communication when we discuss the details of the job.
In order of preference I use wise, stripe as well as paypal to receive payments. Crypto payments are also possible.
Do you accept crypto currency?
Yes. You can also pay for my work with $USDC, $SOL, $BASIS, $BTC. Contact me to discuss the details.
